Dancekids was formed in 2004 by professional dance teacher Katie Cox AISTD.

Katie became a qualified dance teacher in 1999 and has had many years of professional experience.

She has performed for world renowned choreographers across the globe, appeared as a featured dancer for the premier season of P&O Cruise liner “Adonia” and has choreographed routines for the presenters of BBC TV’s ‘Blue Peter’.

Dancekids is owned and run by professional dance teachers, fully qualified and registered with the ISTD (Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing), IDTA (International Dance Teachers Association) and RAD (Royal Academy of Dance)

All teachers also hold full enhanced disclosure certificates from the CRB (Criminal Records Bureau)

Meet the Team

Liam Swattridge DDI trained at Performers College in Essex graduating in July 2014 with a Diploma in Dance Theatre. Liam’s passion is teaching, and he holds both his DDI qualifications in Tap, Modern and Ballet and his DDE In Tap and Modern. He has taken part in the IDO World Tap Championships as part of the England tap team, also known as “Tap Attack”, in 2011 and 2013. He has also appeared on Sky 1’s ‘Got To Dance’ series 2 with Tap Attack. Liam has performed at Wembley in the FA Cup Final 2013 and appeared in the film ‘Cuban Fury’, released in 2014. His performance credits also include ‘Move It’ and the BBC Dance Proms.
