We find that the parties work better when all of the guests are around the same age – of course there will be brothers and sisters who are welcome to join in, but when children are of similar ages and abilities it is much easier for them to pick up routines and show them off at the end!

We would recommend that you set a maximum limit of 24 children for the party – the best parties are those with a close group of friends who share similar interests.

Boys can join in up to a certain age, but once they get past eight and develop a sense of self awareness, sometimes dancing isn’t the best activity for them, which in turn can mean disruption to those who are enjoying the party. Please bear this in mind when deciding whether to invite the whole class!

Make sure that guests are aware that they are coming to a dancing party and are dressed appropriately – especially shoes!

Once you and your child have decided on a theme or a piece of music, we need to know about a week in advance. We source the music, edit it into a format that works at the party and choreograph a unique routine!

We find that a two hour party (inclusive of about 30 minutes for party food) is just perfect. Keeping to this length means that children are constantly entertained and still have the energy to keep going!

Make sure that parents are aware of the party timings – it is very difficult for children to fit into the dances if they arrive late, and there is nothing worse than missing the big show if parents are late back to pick up.

Dance parties do require quite a bit of room – probably more than you think! Of course, if you have the space at home that’s fine; but do take time to consider an outside venue - a little extra space can often make all the difference!

Part of the party involves dressing up and make-up – please make sure that parents are informed in advance and can let the host know if they would rather not wear make up or glitter.
